Green Resources Exhibit Coordinator at Missouri Botanical Garden

The Garden is a world-renowned institution engaged in research, education, and horticultural display and is now seeking candidates for the newly created position of Green Resources Exhibits Coordinator. This temporary position works closely with the Special Exhibit Manager in running the Garden's upcoming 2009 special exhibits focusing on sustainability and green resources. This is a hands-on position requiring deep understanding of and commitment to environmentally responsible programming and events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Securing product donations in conjunction with the Garden's development staff for special exhibit Green Life Giveaway; assisting with the development of exhibit educational content; coordinating volunteer schedules and materials for staffing the Green Life Giveaway; conducting cross-divisional communication to arrange for tours, facility needs, and other activities; conducting research needed to support all aspects of the Green Life Exhibit; and negotiating and executing space rental agreements.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, as well as a minimum of two years experience in the green living industry. Successful applicant must understand the principles of sustainable life style practices and resources. Experience with U.S. Green Building Council is a plus. Must possess strong project and budget management skills. High comfort level with identifying and prospecting vendors. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. LEED accreditation is a plus.
