Charah, Inc., founded in 1987, provides ash management services to the coal-fired power generation industry. One product resulting from the combustion of coal for the generation of electricity is a coarse bottom ash material. Charah processes the raw bottom ash into spec grade aggregate products through processing systems we design, build and operate at power stations. Charah routinely markets these aggregates to end users in the construction industry. Taking care of the environment and respecting our natural resources is a top priority for Charah. Ingredient in masonry products such as concrete block, precast concrete products and concrete mix(EcoPro Sand is used in QUIKRETE® products in select markets). Preferred backfill material for use in Hercules ECOWORKS Retaining Wall Systems.
